How it works
Christmas Edition · Year 7 to 9 · Question 1
“In Catalonia, children hit a log with sticks on Christmas Eve until it poos out sweets.”
Teams decide whether it is fact or myth. The answer is on the slides, along with the story behind it.
Students work in teams of three or four, with one printed answer sheet shared between each team.
There are ten questions: four fact or myth, then three multiple choice and three where teams write the answer out in full. Read each question out as it goes up, and give teams time to agree on an answer before they write it down.
Teams swap sheets with the team next to them. The answers go up one at a time, each with a line on why, so give the room a moment on each one.
The last two slides are blank for questions of your own, and every answer sheet has two spare rows for them.
