How it works
The first Year 7 to 9 statement
“Hard work matters more than talent.”
The other four statements are in the slides, one for each morning. Year 10 and 11 and sixth form have five statements of their own.
The agree sign goes at one end of the room and the disagree sign at the other, so they are as far apart as the room allows. You only need to put them up once, and they can stay up all year.
Read the statement out once, without saying what you think of it. There is no right answer to any of the statements.
Students stand anywhere between the two signs to show how far they agree, and standing in the middle is a perfectly good answer. Ask two or three students why they stood where they did. Then ask whether anybody wants to move after hearing the others, and if someone has changed their mind, they can move.

There are two pages to print, and you only need to print them once: the agree sign and the disagree sign. Pick the slides for your form. Each set has five statements, one to a morning, with five more on page 2 of the pack, and after those the last slide asks students to bring you one of their own.
