How it works

Each menu has nine small resets in three “courses”: quick ones, ones that take a bit longer, and the familiar things that help. Menu I leans creative, Menu II active and Menu III practical. The menus do not say this, so you can hand a student the one that suits them without making a thing of it.

1
Notice a student needs a reset.

Look out for a student who seems low on energy or overwhelmed, or who is just having a hard morning, however small the sign.

2
They choose.

The student picks something from their menu. All three menus work the same way, and there is no wrong choice.

3
They just do it.

The student just gets on with it. There is no need to check back afterwards, though let them know you are there if they want to talk.

Print a small stack of each in advance. They work best when a student keeps theirs in a pencil case or planner and goes back to it. It also works well alongside the Mood Scale.
